The press launch of the new Infiniti FX30d took place in Barcelona end of June. Swiss journalists were invited to test the new engine of the Infiniti flagship, the FX, and invited to share and ask Infiniti Product Expert team.

The latest M37 was the focus of the famous French television show TURBO during a shooting session which took place on the 8 and 9th of June.

After the very positive test drive session of the G37 Cabrio around lake Geneva, the team of TURBO came back to Switzerland to discover this model that will only be available to the general public in September.

The handover of the M37 took place at Infiniti Centre Genève, with professional explanations by a team of Infiniti Europe product experts.

The team then headed up to canton Neuchâtel, chosen for its wonderful sceneries and other subjects breathtaking!

You will be able to discover on Sunday 27th of june and 11h50, the impressions of Dominique Chapatte, shots of the M in the Neuchâtel mountains and the summary of the test drive on an riparian site by the lake side.

Infiniti, the luxury automotive brand from Japan, has announced the arrival of the Limited Edition BR03-92 Instrument Phantom Infiniti wristwatch, engineered by the Swiss specialist watchmaker Bell & Ross. Just 100 examples are being produced, and will be offered only through Infiniti Centres in Europe: in Zurich and Geneva for Switzerland...

From the 6th to the 9th of May 2010 the Infiniti Switzerland sales team will head to Lugano, TI, for the 30th annual open air automobile exhibition, most important of such events in the country.

After last year’s great success, Infiniti Partner Switzerland will present the emblematic FX50S, the coupé crossover EX37GT and the latest G37 Cabrio.

The 80th Salon International de l’Auto in Geneva took place from the 4 to 14 of March.

Infiniti was be even more special this year with the launches of our all-new Infiniti M, as well as our new performance focused diesel engine.

The FX Limited Edition will be rare indeed. Availability has been strictly limited to just 100 units across Western Europe, of which 10 units based on the FX50S for Switzerland. All will be individually numbered. Based on the already dramatic looking FX50S, the FX Limited Edition features striking Black Obsidian ‘Scratch Guard’ paintwork as standard, with equally distinctive Moonlight White pearl metallic available as an option. Specially commissioned 21 inch ‘Turbine’ design alloy wheels are finished in dark Graphite. The radiator grille, side air vents and roof rails are similarly coordinated.

The interior of the FX Limited Edition is beautifully crafted with many unique enhancements. Opening one of the doors reveals illuminated ‘Infiniti’ entry guards and a carefully co-ordinated combination of the finest materials, including supple Graphite leather upholstered seats, upper door panels and dashboard with contrasting stitching, and a luxurious Alcantara® headlining. Genuine Carbon fibre is used extensively on the dashboard, centre console and door panels, replacing the standard ‘cello flame maple wood veneer.

Completing the FX Limited Edition’s comprehensive standard specification, Infiniti’s state-of-the-art Connectiviti+ technology package provides a fully integrated navigation, communication and entertainment system including an 11-speaker Bose® Premium Sound System, the Michelin Guide, full iPod connectivity and a 10GB music box with Gracenotes database. Infiniti Centre Zürich is proud to welcome Doris Renidears artwork.

Trained as an Architect, Doris appreciated the universe of the Infiniti Centres, the TOE (Total Ownership Experience) philosophy and wanted to exhibit about 30 of her pieces in the 600m² available in the Zürich Centre.

For this occasion the paintings of Alexia Lavanchy will be put aside to reveal the harder and more precise lines of Doris's work.

The opening of the exhibition will take place on the evening of Thursday 26th of November, on invitation only, with the presence of the artist himself. The paintings will stay on display until the 2nd of December, available for viewing by all during the opening hours of the Centre.

EuroNCAP’s awarding of the maximum five stars to the FX, confirmed today, is an endorsement of the holistic, high-tech approach to safety that Infiniti takes with all its models.

The high-performance luxury crossover from Japan is the first Infiniti ever to face EuroNCAP’s crash barrier – as well as the first luxury SUV to be assessed under this year’s more rigorous new system and therefore the only one to be award five stars under it.

The results – from the world’s most demanding independent crash test organisation – are testament to the engineers’ efforts and the commitment to road safety that’s been at the heart of Infiniti since the company was formed 20 years ago. At Infiniti, dedicated engineering teams are involved from the design stage to ensure every new model not only surpasses all known standards but also leads the way in introducing new safety technologies for the future.

In the tests for 2009, EuroNCAP considers a new “safety assist” element in determining star ratings. The FX recorded a remarkable 99% – a reflection of both its highly advanced safety systems and the fact that the majority of them are standard in every version.

In this safety assist category, EuroNCAP awarded the FX extra points for its standard stability control system, seat-belt reminders for all seats and its driver-set speed limiter – all features present in every FX. But the luxury marque’s holistic approach to safety means EuroNCAP could have taken many more driver aids into account besides: for example the FX’s standard seat-belt pretensioners that act to grip the front seat occupants under fast manoeuvres, reversing camera, front and rear parking sensors, automatic driving position system, intelligent all-wheel drive and adaptive front lighting system with Xenon headlights.

On the FX50S, the standard intelligent cruise control and brake assist, Around View Monitor, Rear Active Steer and tyre pressure monitoring are all equally designed to assist the driver in ensuring that all occupants, and other road users, stay safe.

This array of often world-first technology is a large step towards Infiniti’s goal of an invisible bubble of protection all around the vehicle. Known as Safety Shield, it is the subject of ongoing development for all models in the Infiniti range and is a key factor in Infiniti’s aim to reduce the number of fatal and serious accidents involving Infiniti vehicles.

Drawing on the resources of Infiniti’s parent group and based on analysis of real-world accidents, Safety Shield integrates the safety systems in order to manage all accident phases, from risk identification to post-crash. Infiniti engineers believe a safe car is not just one that performs well in crash tests, but also one that helps the driver avoid the accident in the first place.

Many of the Safety Shield technologies are available today, many more are coming soon, including systems designed to help prevent collisions in lane-change and reversing situations. Side Collision Prevention uses sensors that constantly measure the distance to, and relative speed of, any vehicle in an adjacent lane approaching from behind. If the driver steers into its path and doesn’t heed the audible and visual alerts, a slight “yaw” effect is generated that brings the car back into the safety of its own lane automatically. In Back-up Collision Prevention, the car will automatically bring itself to a stop if there is a danger of the car reversing into the path of an oncoming vehicle.

Technology like this is in addition to a designed-in strength which, according to EuroNCAP, earns its five stars in the FX by effectively minimizing the risk to occupants if an accident should occur. In the crash tests, EuroNCAP awarded the FX 86% for the safety of adult occupants and 77% for the safety of child occupants, both figures demonstrating the integrity of the FX’s construction. Infiniti engineers made the new FX body particularly rigid, 1.6 times more resistant to twisting and 3.4 times more resistant to bending than the previous-generation model.
Also contributing to the FX’s five-star result were its complement of front, side and head airbags, and ISOFIX child seat anchorage points in both outer rear seats.

The five-star EuroNCAP Infiniti FX went on sale in Switzerland in September 2008, with prices from 89’780,00 CHF.

The Infiniti Switzerland team attended the Saint-Gall Auto Show for the first time.

The sales team of Infiniti Switzerland heads for the second time to the annual Zürich auto show. Last year’s presence was very small, only displaying the G37 Coupé.

This year, the whole Infiniti range will be present: the two crossovers (the coupé crossover EX37 and the emblematic FX), as well as the G37 in all its versions, Sedan, Coupé and the newly released Cabrio. There are over 60 000 visitors every year.

The entire team is already in the starting blocks for this, the most important automobile event in the Swiss German part. During the four days that the event will take place the team will be standing on location, informing the curious public about all the services and advantages offered by the brand.

From the 16th to the 18th of October will take place the Europe’s largest curling tournament at the GC Zürich. This 3rd international curling tournament will bring together the world’s best curling players. The Infiniti Switzerland team, partner of the event, will make available a few FX50S, which will serve as official cars for the VIP event of the 18th of October.

Invented in Scotland, this sport is officially recognized since the Winter Olympic Games of 1998, for this reason the teams present for the Woman's masters will also compete at the Olympic Games of Vancouver next February!

After the exclusive photo shooting session of the Infiniti Essence, organized by the famous Swiss-German Magazine Auto Illustrierte on the 8th of June. The association of Infiniti Switzerland and the magazine are growing in strength. This time, the readers of the magazine were offered exclusive test drives.

The two crossovers, the EX37 and the emblematic FX, the G37 in all its versions, Cabrio, Coupé and Sedan, were present for the enjoyment of the readers who were able to get a better understanding of the brand. It is at the wheel of the new Infiniti G37 Cabrio that Dominique Chapatte, host of the famous French motoring television show Turbo, will be presenting the show of the 11th of October.

The show was filmed the 28th and 29th of September, around the Lac Léman in Switzerland between Geneva and Montreux.

The new format of the show (1h15 instead of 30 minutes) will offer the team the opportunity of a more in depth look at Infiniti: a presentation of the Infiniti Centers, a reminder of how broad the Infiniti range is and of course the test of the G37 Cabrio.

Infiniti Centre Genève was honored to receive the entire team of Turbo, before their departure for the discovery the Swiss vineyards of Lavaux, for some spectacular views.

Following our theme of invitations to discover the Infiniti Range, the alumni of the Business School of Lyon, were invited to discuss the economy of the automobile industry, with Philippe Talou-Derible, Managing Director of Sarenne Motors SA, exclusive distributor of Infiniti in Switzerland.

The Infiniti Switzerland team is attending the auto Basel motorshow for the first time from September 17th to 20th.

Automotive capital during four days, the clients will be able to admire and inquire about the whole Infiniti range; the two crossovers (the coupé crossover EX37 and the emblematic FX) as well as the G37 range, now offered in coupé, sedan and cabrio versions.

Over 30000 visitors are expected by the Zürich and Basel teams consisting of Peter Müller, Salvatore Solidoro and Peter Leuenberger. They will be available to talk about the quality, innovation and performance as well as services offered by Infiniti.

The motorshow will regroup this year, over 350 new models by 40 different automobile brands present for the pleasure of passionate people who will benefit from free access to the motorshow.

This year Swiss Aerobatic Championship took place on the Yverdon Airfield from the 7th to the 13th of September 2009. Infiniti Switzerland - event partner, presented the complete vehicle range during the VIP evening of the 10th of September. For this occasion the airfield was made available to car in order to demonstrate their performances at high speeds, the FX50S in particular, left no spectator indifferent.

Aerobatics is an area of competition that consists in using a plan or a glider to accomplish aerial maneuvers of high difficulty. Many exceptional crafts were presented including an EXTRA 300LP made entirely of carbon fiber, worth half a million euros. At the commands of this two-seater aeroplane, the pilot accomplished a very spectacular show for the enjoyment of spectators.

A private evening closed this day!

Formula 1 veteran Patrick Tambay made appearances for two special evenings in the Geneva and Zürich Centres. Thanks to a partnership between the BSCC (British Swiss Chamber of Commerce) and Infiniti Switzerland, this event was organised for the great pleasure of both clients and members of the chamber who were able to listen and discuss with Patrick Tambay.

Over sixty guests, all automobile aficionados, had the pleasure to debate around the issues surrounding the automobile sports in the prestigious surroundings of the Infiniti Centres.

This ex F1 Ferrari Pilot, winner of numerous races, was able to captivate and rejoice his large audience by sharing stories and anecdotes of his long career. It is in a convivial atmosphere and around cocktails that these evenings ended.

2011 Infiniti M Makes Virtual Debut at Concours d’Elegance.

Infiniti today provided an advanced look at the all-new 2011 Infiniti M performance luxury sedan at the 59th Annual Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. This is the third generation of Infiniti’s popular M and the first to be sold across all of Infiniti’s 32 markets around the world, including Western Europe.

Like the current Infiniti M, the next-generation design will be offered with V8 and V6 engines. The 2011 M models will be designated the Infiniti M56 and Infiniti M37 respectively, reflecting their more powerful, larger displacement engines. For Western Europe, the M56 will be replaced by a V6 performance diesel.

The 2011 Infiniti M also features a completely redesigned body, with authentic sports sedan proportions and evocative new styling with a low front end and deeply sculpted fenders inspired by the Infiniti Essence concept car. The new M interior promises to be pure Infiniti, highlighted by the use of innovative materials, an advanced climate control system, superior audio and an enhanced quality feel. Despite improved performance from the new engine line-up, fuel consumption will be reduced. In addition, the 2011 M will continue Infiniti’s technology innovation leadership with an industry-first Side-Collision Prevention (SCP) system. The SCP system is designed to help alert the driver if another vehicle is detected during an intended lane change, and then help avoid a potential collision by assisting the driver in returning the vehicle toward the center of the original lane of travel.

The 2011 Infiniti M which is scheduled to go on sale across the world starting from Spring 2010, was revealed through a unique “video mapping” process, in which a “virtual M” was created on a 3D form. It is the world’s first “virtual only” (no physical vehicle) automotive application of this cutting-edge technology. The 2011 Infiniti M will make its official public debut later this year.

Infiniti Switzerland supported an auction evening, organized by the children’s charity, Action Innocence, on June 18 at the Hotel Wilson in Geneva.

Infiniti was proud to support this occasion with the donation of a unique Infiniti G37S Coupé signed by Action Innocence’s godfathers, the well-known couple Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas. This G37S Coupé found a new owner among the 400 guests during this very private evening which was presented by the French actress, Virginie Ledoyen. The car sold for 85’000 CHF, well above its true worth.

Many personalities were also present: Mrs Bertarelli, the princess Rawda Al Thani, the ambassador of Turkey, important genevese jewellers, Michel Leeb, the model Afef tronchetti…
Mister Charles Beer, Councellor of State at the Public Direction and Mister Manuel Tornare, Admuinistrative Councellor of Geneva city were also at the Gala evening.

The list of items auctioned found plenty of hand raisers on the night:

On Friday 12th of June 2009, Infiniti Switzerland will offer you the opportunity to take the wheel of all it’s models during a golf competition in Interlaken. The tournament will be organised by the BSCC, “British Swiss Chamber of Commerce”, who regularly take part in the planning of such prestigious events in the Interlaken area. Swiss golfers from all parts of the country will attend the tournament.

Infiniti Switzerland organised, in direct collaboration with the famous Car magazine “Auto Illustrierte”, an exclusive photoshoot of the Infiniti Essence on the 8th of June in Hinwil.

Taking into account the Essence’s tight schedule and the precautions needed to safely organise such an event, Hinwil racetrack was the ideal location for this event. Usual playground for Auto Illustrierte’s road tests, the racetrack was selected for this very unique photo session.

Located 40km from “Infiniti Centre Zürich”, the “Betzholtz Centre For Road Safety” in Hinwil, is the biggest CFRS of Switzerland and one of Europe’s most modern centres.

Interested parties will have the possibility to read the historic of the concept-car very soon in Auto Illustrierte.

The official launch of the first Infiniti Centre in, French speaking Switzerland, took place on the 27th and 28th of May. Two days during which journalists were able to test drive the entire Infiniti range and discover the brand new Centre.

A cocktail closed off those two days, with the presence of Alexia, the Geneva based artist, who was hand picked by Infiniti Europe to provide the artwork for all European Infiniti Centres. Alexia Lavanchy graduated HEAD (Haute école d’art et de design de Genève).

She was able to provide more than a simple artists work, she also participated greatly in the development of all Infiniti Centres.

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (May 13, 2009) – When it comes to recommending a vehicle to a friend or relative, no vehicle tops the 2009 Infiniti G37, according to a study announced by automotive research firm AutoPacific. With a 95% recommendation factor by its owners, the Infiniti G37 registered the highest percentage of recommendations of all vehicles, car or truck, in AutoPacific’s survey of more than 25,000 consumers who purchased or leased new cars and trucks in the period from September to December 2008. The G37 was also named as the top recommended “Aspirational Luxury Car.”

“Positive word-of-mouth is something that comes right from the heart of the vehicle experience, which is why we’re so pleased to be recognized as the ‘most recommended’ new vehicle,” said Ben Poore, vice president of Infiniti.

The 2009 Infiniti G37 is currently offered in two body styles, G Coupe and G Sedan, each powered by a refined 3.7-liter V6 engine and offering an array of performance, luxury and technology features. An all-new G37 Convertible, with a three-piece power retractable hardtop, will be available at Infiniti retailers nationwide beginning in June.

SERVICE PACK

The service pack is included in the price of the cars sold on the Swiss market and gives Switzerland a big advantage over other European markets.
It includes all maintenance operations recommended by the constructor, every 15’000km or 12 months (whichever comes first)
3 years or 100’000km (identical to the warranty period); routine controls fo the car. On the other hand, the fluids and lubricants (except the brake liquid); and parts of normal ware are not included in the service pack.

Infiniti’s fifth model for Europe, the G37 Cabrio will receive its European debut at the 2009 Geneva International Motor Show. Arguably Infiniti’s most seductive car yet, the G37 Cabrio will go on sale across Europe from September 2009.

As the latest expression of ‘Inspired Performance’ by Infiniti, the G37 Cabrio combines beautiful styling, exciting performance and a three-piece retracting hardtop that is designed to look as good with the top up as it does down. This “dual beauty” is a rare event among coupé convertibles and has been the prime motivation during the creation of the G37 Cabrio.

The Verbier Polo Cup is a polo on ice competition which takes place with a spectacular alpine scenery. The famous alpine resort offered up for the second time consecutively, from the 30th of January to the 1st of February, a tournament of Polo on ice.
