Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC)* uses laser sensors and a digital rangefinder to maintain a preset distance with the vehicle in front. With the automatic transmission version, the laser sensors team up with the vehicle’s preview braking system Intelligent Brake Assist (IBA) to slow down the vehicle safely in an emergency even when the system is off. In slow-moving traffic the Low-Speed Following feature (LSF) intelligently brakes the vehicle to maintain your distance to the vehicle in front. *The system is not designed to prevent collisions or act as warning devices. They do not automatically bring the vehicle to a stop. Failure to apply the brakes may lead to an accident.
Front and rear parking sensors help to ensure you maintain a safe distance from other road objects, making elegant parking and manoeuvring a good deal easier. As you approach an obstacle, an audible warning sounds at increasingly shorter intervals so you can judge distances simply and accurately when parking or manoeuvring.
